BeatPick e… Roma Europa Fake Festival
Filed Under General | 3 Comments
This is a brief post in Italian (sorry, beloved international readers), as the case it refers to is a typically Italian situation.
Come è andata a finire?

Here’s a short blog post to give our readers an idea of some of the deals BeatPick.com has been involved in over the past few months.
We’ve been very active, and these are just a few examples (much more to come)… BeatPick never sleeps!
Chevrolet created 350 branded USB sticks to give away to European journalists. Amongst the chosen tracks, “Blumenau” by Napolitano Lounge Connection and “Endless Search” by The Deliverance.
Dodge used the great tune “American Dream” by exciting rock band Soular for an online advertisement. Check it out, here.

It was definitely a car period, as Mercedes Benz used Sean Haefeli’s “Balance”, Napolitano Lounge Connection’s “Grand Hotel Piranesi” and Foley’s “Gone Postal” for the music loop/mix that can be heard on this website of the well-known
company. This is the continuation of a choice of BeatPick’s music that started with their Mercedes-Benz Mixtape compilations. They also used Cris Tanzi’s “My Home” as a streaming theme for their Second Life island.
Windcheater’s “Apathetic” was licensed for an advertisement for the internal IPTV of Serviceplan. Check it out amongst the videos you can find here. Exciting news for the English electro-composer in Japan!
Stay tuned for more …. We’ve got some big surprises coming up…

At BeatPick.com we’ve always been huge fans of Nell Bryden’s magnificent voice and songwriting talents. Her album “Second Time around” is a collection of tracks that are one stronger than the next, and have been playing in our office non-stop for over a year.
From magnificent ballads, such as “Goodbye” and “From Midnight On” to rocking rootsy Country tracks like the title track and “Where the pavement ends“; from retro feeling beauties “If I Forget” and “Tonight” to Mitchell-inspired Americana in “Only Life she knows“:seriously, readers, this is an album to be discovered!
Especially now that Nell is truly beginning to find cult following in the US, is touring Europe, and finding ever-growing space in the media. To get an idea of what we’re speaking of, check out her new, super-slick video for the album’s title track:
Nell is super-active in promoting her music. In October she even flew into Iraq to play for the US troops and local guards who are unfortunately still stuck in the middle of the yet-to-be-motivated conflict. On her official site, she wrote a very interesting and insightful blog about her experience in the country. Worth reading for music-lovers and non.Check out Nell’s wonderful sound, at BeatPick.com!

It was January 2006 when at BeatPick.com we first started uploading artists to our site. Back then, with less than 30 artists in our catalogue, the 3 year survival of such an innovative approach and system in music business was quite a bet.
Now, January 2009, we have recently passed the 150 artist mark, and BeatPick.com is evermore alive and kicking!
To celebrate our anniversary, we’re proud to propose a brief photographic tribute to those wonderful artists who have been with us since the very beginning. Our success and persistence is due in large part to them, and they are the ones who should most be celebrated.
What better moment to discover them, readers?
Attrition. Historical Gothic Wave British project. More than 20 years of activity and cult-status.
Airbag Killex. Italian Breakcore terrorist.
A Crowning Experience. Tom Crowning’s New Age Synthesizer-centred project.
Carl Moses. Energetic Themes for TV and the widescreen.
Shiner22. Danish Progressive Pop/Rock combo.
Synthead. Max Pray’s Electronic tribute to the 80s.
The Acuna Boyz. Exciting Dance Professionals.
The Alpha Rhythm (left)’s Post-Rock elegance and Tolera Storm (right)’s Blend of Asian, African and Western traditions. (Thanks so much, Daysha!).
Ultimately, this is the ideal occasion to send out a little teaser for all followers of the BeatPick world. Check out the image below, because a big revolution is coming your way….
