BeatPick.com is an active co-operator with REFF (Roma Europa Fake Factory), an open contest dealing with music remixes (and for this purpose we are providing participants with tracks from our catalog), literature, design and architecture. The factory was actually born as a boicot version of Roma Europa Festival’s factory, protesting against the restrictive copyright clauses within the well known festival’s contract with artists.
However in less than three months from its’ birth, REFF has had such an amount of praise and particpants that it has caught the public eye to the point of being invited to present its’ programme and ideas on copyright in… The Italian Senate!?!
Tomorrow morning BeatPick.com is part of the panel presenting the project in the Senate. Useless to say we’re honoured and excited!
